Our little warning video above used real text from emails we have been sent.

Share house scam alert

All websites get annoying scammers.

If a place or person sounds too good to be true, pushy or suspicious - they are!

Three rules to help keep you safe:

  1. Never send money to someone without meeting them first.

  2. Don't provide your bank details.

  3. Don't provide your ID details without meeting someone face-to-face.
Be suspicious if someone wants your current address, a copy of your passport or your date of birth.

Law enforcement

We cooperate with the Australian Federal Police and ACCC Scam Watch requests investigating share accommodation scammers.
